olive oil

More information below:

AFSC Middle East Peace Education Program in Atlanta is stocking certified fair trade olive oil from Palestine in order to support impoverished Palestinian farmers and their peaceful struggles. We are also building educational campaigns to raise awareness about their plight living under military occupation.

Purchasing fair trade Palestinian olive oil is an easy way for you to directly support Palestinian farmers with fair prices and funding replanting olive trees (Trees for Life), to benefit youths living in occupied Palestine (Project Hope), and to help create awareness for peace in Palestine (AFSC's Ziyarat az Zeitoun, Visiting the Olives Project).

The farmers gain a market that is otherwise inaccessible to the Palestinian people. Our supplier, Zatoun, funds Trees for Life, a program to plant tens of thousands of olive tree saplings in Palestine. In addition, an extra $1 goes to Trees for Life for every bottle sold by AFSC. Zatoun also supports Project Hope, an independent, grassroots effort to bring the expressive arts (painting, drawing, music and drama) as a means to help heal young people in Palestine.
